SURABAYA, pico.pens.ac.id – (September 24th, 2024) our university had the honor of hosting a delegation from Singapore Polytechnic. for a one-day visit, a significant step in enhancing our understanding and collaboration with universities across the Country.
The primary objective of this visit was to enlighten students about the educational practices and programs at other Indonesian universities. By observing and engaging with our counterparts, our students gained valuable insights into different academic methodologies, which they can share with their peers in Singapore and incorporate into their own studies.
During their visit, the delegation explored various academic settings where Agile methodologies are employed. These techniques emphasize respectful growth mindsets and skill building, providing students with practical tools for their future careers and everyday lives. The exposure to such practices allowed visiting students to appreciate and learn from these methods, enhancing their educational experience.
After this campus visit, there is an awareness that there is still a lot to learn and share. The exchange of teaching methods and programs between polytechnics in Indonesia and Singapore not only provides new insights but also opens up opportunities to strengthen and develop the curriculum.
The hope is to continue the collaboration between the Singapore Polytechnic and PENS. By regularly conducting student and curriculum exchanges in the future, both institutions can help in improving the quality of education for the benefit of students. Through activities like this, students not only enrich their academic knowledge but also gain valuable life experience.
