About PICO

PENS was established in 1988. With its vision to be the center of excellence of education in emerging technology both national and international, PENS executes international cooperation programs to solve some local problems and also performs other community services.

In order to expand the cooperation programs, PENS established cooperation with:

1. Government Institutions both local and central
2. Regional, national and international state and private higher education institutions
3. National and international business and industry or companies
4. Donor institutions in education and research
5. Individuals with high commitment in educational progress
6. Alumni, and
7. Non government organization both national and international

PENS International Cooperation Office (PICO) aims to support PENS to be the world class polytechnic in the near future, as well as to make significant contributions to society – locally, nationally and internationally by performing:

  1. Cooperation of academic
  2. Cooperation of academic support
  3. Cooperation of business
  4. Cooperation of students, staffs and faculty exchange to other institutions
  5. Cooperation and collaboration with overseas universities, institutions and companies.
  6. Research collaboration, international conferences and publications.
  7. Student exchange both incoming and outgoing.
  8. Staff and faculty exchange for enhancing the capacity in academic and research.

The programs of Academic cooperation consist of educational, research and community services activities. While the programs of academic support cooperation held in order to support the academic activities, such as scholarship development, research and education facilities and infrastructure, laboratory equipment, libraries, buildings, etc.

1. PENS Students
a) To gain experience and knowledge, both academic and non-academic

2. PENS Lecturers
a) To get a big chance to upgrade knowledge, methodology, workshop, lecturers development, curriculum development in electronics and computer engineering, informatics technology, mechatronics and robotics, and creative multimedia technology
b) To increase education quality and strengthening in electronics and computer engineering, informatics technology, mechatronics and robotics, and creative multimedia technology through optimization of pedagogy systems based on emerging technology
c) To increase the ability in composing curriculum, course materials, presentation, teaching modules that can be implemented in electronics and computer engineering, informatics technology, mechatronics and robotics, and creative multimedia technology

3. PENS
a) To expand PENS’s promotion, both national and international level
b) To strengthen connection with the institution expert partners in electronics and computer engineering, informatics technology, mechatronics and robotics, and creative multimedia technology
c) To develop network with other institutions of higher education, society, industry, government institutions and other institutions s both national and international level through educational cooperation based on mutual benefits
d) To conduct an educational cooperation system in emerging technology based on performance accountability to increase education quality level in PENS through the benefits from the educational cooperation
e) To build educational cooperation as one of the income generating efforts in order to develop and prosper PENS academicians
f) To conduct educational cooperation as one of the efforts to raise the good institution image to other college, society, industry, government institutions and other institutions both national and international level.
